Rhythm Of The Gods Soundtrack (2020)

Having produced two video game soundtracks without a game to go along with them, it was about time I wrote the soundtrack for an actual video game. That opportunity was offered to me in late 2018, and after just over a year of hard work for myself and the team at Lyrelark Games, Rhythm of the Gods was released on March 23rd 2020 on Nintendo Switch, Steam, Xbox and Playstation 4.

Having had the levels of the video game described to me, as well as viewing a gameplay demo, I wrote tracks for the game’s four levels, as well as remixes of each track. I also produced some tracks which didn’t end up featuring in the game, but were eventually released as the ‘Unsung Melodies EP’.

Playing a video game which featured my own music was and still is a surreal experience, but with inspirations like Rhythm Heaven, Parappa The Rapper, and Dance Dance Revolution, it was amazing to have my first official soundtrack be for a Rhythm game. If you haven’t already, check the game out!

Rhythm Of The Gods Unsung Melodies EP (2022)

After writing some remix tracks for Rhythm Of The Gods, there were plans for some new levels of the game which eventually didn’t come to fruition. As the music for these was already written, I thought it’d be a waste not to release them in some way, and thus the Unsung Melodies EP was born.

This EP features 4 new levels and god mode tracks, as well as a second marathon mode loop, and an early demo for the Kronos level which ended up being replaced. The genres for these levels were varied and included mashups of classical and dubstep, jazz and electro, and drum and bass/retrowave.
