The Cosmic Mirage represents a new sound in my chronology of album releases. After acquiring a TB-303 synthesiser I found it a great tool to make acid loops to form the basis of 16 tracks for this album.
With a futuristic concept, the album moves through 4 phases loosely based on roller coasters, video games, raves and electronic music, and finally mind altering substances. To begin each section there is a radio/television style ident.
In addition to a new sound with the album, I also took on a whole new approach to the audiovisual side of the project. With filming assistance from LiveUp Media creator Allan Rowland, and screenwriting and concept development from Acada Morgana for the promotional video I wanted to create a world for this album to reside in.
Available at the time of release were a limited edition of 7 cassette tape copies of the album. These also featured in the promotional material for the album itself

Radio enthusiasts began to pick up strange radio broadcasts from a station describing itself as Cosmic FM. It was at this point that the appearance of the Cosmic Mirage was almost confirmed.
